GW Votes

GW has one of the most politically active student populations in the nation!  GW Votes makes it easy to find out how and when you can vote in your community. Make sure you cast your ballot in this -- and every -- election! Visit us for more information and to see our on-campus events, including the party at the mailbox!

Selective Service Registration

Register for Selective Service online or pick up a registration card at your local post office.

Voter Registration

GW students may be eligible to vote in the District of Columbia if they meet certain conditions. Detailed information is available from the D.C. Board of Elections or by calling (202) 727-2525 (voice)/(202) 639-8916 (TTY). D.C. voter registration forms can be downloaded from the Board’s site and are also available in Colonial Central.

The Election Assistance Commission of the United States makes available a National Mail Voter Registration Form which can be used to register to vote, report a change of name, report a change of address, or register with a political party. The national form also contains voter registration rules and regulations for each state and territory.
